August "Gus" Kormann is the owner and Captain of Marolanga. He is born in Salzburg/Austria, the world known city for its majestic castle, celebrated operahouse and birthplace of the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Gus´ professional background is in graphic design. He successfully operated his own company with his wife standing by his side. During this period he was sailing at the Mediterranean Sea, Baltic Sea and numerous european lakes, competing in regattas as well as World- and European Championships. His dream came true with Marolanga sailing across the Atlantic, exploring the Caribbean, Bahamas and florida Keys. |
Marcella Kormann is your Chef and Host aboard Marolanga. She was born in Germany, a stone´s throw from the famous Rhine River. She is an active sports figure, adept in sailing, tennis, skiing, and loves snorkeling (the guests call her "Mermaid"). She loves to surprise her guests with excellent food. Her flavorful repertoire is international to satisfy diversified demands and her delicious German, Austrian, Italian, French and Caribbean "specialities" are unbeatable.
